Office photography for serviced offices in Hitchin and Hertfordshire
If you’re marketing serviced offices, your images are doing most of the selling.
This shoot covered eight office spaces across two buildings in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. The goal was to create a consistent set of professional images that clearly show each space and help them perform on listings and their website.
I regularly shoot commercial interiors, offices and workspaces across Hertfordshire and London. The brief is usually the same - make the space look its best without misrepresenting it.

Professional office photography that shows spaces clearly and accurately
We started by photographing every room clean.
No styling. No props. Just clear, accurate images that show layout, size and usability. These are the images that matter most for listings.
From there, each space was refined. Desks repositioned, clutter removed, and a small set of reusable props introduced where needed.
This keeps the images honest while still elevating them. Over-styled spaces might look good at first glance, but they break trust when someone walks in, and it feels completely different.

Handling small office spaces without distortion
Several of the offices were tight on space.
This is where poor photography stands out. Ultra-wide lenses can make a room feel bigger, but they also bend lines and distort proportions.
I shot wide where needed, then controlled the composition and cropped in slightly to keep everything looking natural. Straight lines, accurate proportions, and a realistic sense of space.
If someone walks into the room, it should feel exactly how it looked online.

Managing mixed lighting in office environments
Lighting was a mix of daylight and overhead sensor lighting that couldn’t be turned off.
That combination often creates uneven colour and contrast.
I handled this using a mix of in-camera control, selective HDR in brighter spaces, and subtle off-camera flash where needed to lift shadows.
Nothing heavy. Just enough to keep the entire set clean, balanced and consistent.

Adding lifestyle-led office photography for stronger marketing
Most of the images were clean, empty spaces.
For one of the larger offices, we introduced two staff members to create a more lifestyle-led image.
This gives the client something stronger for their homepage or marketing. People don’t just want to see space - they want to understand how it feels to work there.
It’s a small addition, but it makes a big difference.

Office photography for websites, listings and commercial marketing
The final result was a consistent set of professional images ready for:
- Website use
- Property listings
- Marketing materials
- Social media
Consistency is what makes this work. Not one standout image - a full set that feels cohesive and professional.
If your images vary in style, lighting or quality, it weakens the entire brand.

Why professional office photography matters for your business
You are not just documenting a space. You are selling it.
Strong office photography:
- Makes spaces feel brighter and more usable
- Helps listings stand out
- Builds trust before a viewing
- Supports better enquiries and occupancy
If your current images aren’t doing that, they’re costing you.

Office photographer in Hitchin, Letchworth and Stevenage
The end result from this shoot wasn’t just a set of well-shot images - it was a consistent library of professional office photography that the client can use across their entire marketing.
Each space is now clearly represented online, with images that feel bright, usable and accurate. That makes a direct difference when potential tenants are comparing offices, browsing listings, or deciding whether to enquire.
The client now has a set of images that:
- Show each office clearly and honestly
- Feel consistent across both buildings
- Work across websites, listings and marketing without needing rework
That consistency is what builds trust. If the imagery feels disjointed or misleading, it creates friction before someone even steps through the door.
I regularly photograph office spaces and commercial interiors across Hitchin, Letchworth, Stevenage, St Albans and the wider Hertfordshire area.
The focus is always the same: create images that don’t just look good but actually support how the business markets and sells its space.

FAQ - Office Photography in Hertfordshire

Do you photograph serviced offices and commercial workspaces?
Yes. I photograph serviced offices, private offices, meeting rooms, coworking spaces, commercial interiors, and business premises for marketing, websites, listings, brochures, and social media.
How much preparation is needed before an office photography shoot?
Ideally, rooms should be clean, tidy, and lightly styled before the shoot. Desks should be cleared, cables tidied, bins removed, and any distracting items hidden.
That said, real spaces are not always perfectly prepared. I can help with small styling adjustments on the day, but the better the preparation, the stronger and more efficient the shoot will be.
Can you help style the offices during the shoot?
Yes, within reason. For this shoot, the offices were not pre-styled, so we reused plants, laptops, chairs, desks, and small office items to make each room feel more professional and lived-in.
For larger shoots, it is worth preparing props and styling items in advance so we can work more efficiently.
What makes professional office photography better than phone photos?
Professional office photography gives you better composition, cleaner lighting, straighter vertical lines, more accurate colour, and a more polished result.
Phone photos often make offices look darker, smaller, messier, or more distorted than they are. If you are trying to attract tenants or clients, poor images can quietly damage trust before someone even enquires.
Do you use HDR for office interior photography?
Yes, where needed. HDR bracketing helps balance bright windows with darker interiors, which is common in office photography.
The aim is not to create an over-processed HDR look. It is to keep the images clean, natural, and realistic while showing the room properly.
Can you photograph small or awkward office spaces?
Yes. Small rooms need careful camera positioning, lens choice, and composition.
The goal is not to make a small office look falsely huge. It is to show the space clearly, professionally, and honestly, while making it look its best.
How many images do I need for serviced office marketing?
It depends on the number of rooms and how the images will be used.
For most office spaces, one strong angle per room is often enough. Some rooms benefit from a second angle if it adds useful context. A focused set of strong images is usually better than a large gallery full of near-duplicates.
Can the images be used on our website and social media?
Yes. Commercial office photography can be supplied for website use, online listings, brochures, social media, digital marketing, and general business promotion.
Usage can be agreed before the shoot so everything is clear from the start.
Do you photograph offices outside Hertfordshire?
Yes. I am based in Hertfordshire and regularly work across London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Northamptonshire, and further afield when needed.

From there, I can give you a clear quote and help plan the shoot properly.
